  2. Libby, my ancestors hail from Clan MacRae, on my mom's side of the family. My husband's ancestors from Clan MacLennan, on his dad's side.

    And yes, men look great in kilts! My husband wore a kilt at our wedding, and I can tell you, it makes the honeymoon so much easier!

  7. LOVE IT!!! Highland games and sun - and warmth - and SUNTANNED men in kilts. Brown knees!!!!!Who knew such things could exist?
    And your own American touches - the Marines: now that's classy.

    But talking of brown - the trees are brown. Is that because of your hot summer?

    Our season of Highland games is drawing to a close. It's Mrs Queen's local do this weekend at the Braemar Gathering. Fittingly, it's the headline on the BBC Scotland news page today : http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/scotland/

    I hope the Long Island Games got a headline or two.
