In which Marcheline gets a Real Live Weekend

OH NOES!!!  HERE COMES XMAS!!!

Those five little vintage buggers bells are some of my latest listings at my online store.   Go take a peek if you want a little old school holiday cheer.  I've still got an item or two I need to get up there, but thanks to daylight savings time (I refuse to capitalize such a ridiculous name.  What daylight does it save?  None, that's what.  It's dark at FOUR FREAKIN' THIRTY!) there isn't enough light to take photos now.

One thing I've learned about photography for online sales is this:  don't take photos indoors.  Pictures taken with flash suck.  So I try to take all photos outside, in my gardens.  If there are attractive plants that make good backdrops, then so much the better.  If not, I use my most excellent patio table, which has vast tiles that make a great neutral space.

I'm very excited because today is Friday.  And, unlike every Friday I've lived through for the past four years, I'm NOT WORKING!  What's more, I'm not working tomorrow, nor the next day.  You can't possibly understand how exciting it is to have a real, regular, normal, everyday weekend off like real, regular, normal, everyday people unless you have, like me, spent the last four years working weekends and holidays, with only Mondays and Tuesdays off.

We're celebrating by going out to dinner with our friends.  Real, actual human beings.  And we're all going out together.  At the same time.  To a restaurant.  And having dinner.

I may pass out from sheer happiness.  But not before I stuff my face with delicious Italian food!
